Perpetual license question

I just subscribed to a one year subscription for 159.00$ and then, I cancelled my subscription and bought a perpetual license for 49.00$. I already registered Substance Painter with the annual key registration. Should I change the key number now for the perpetual key or should I wait until the first year is done before entering the perpetual key number?
