Topic: Summer 2018.2.1 Build Hangs (Read 900 times)

Can't get the latest 2018.2.1 build to initialize. I notice "Generating thumbnail(s)...." is displayed in the lower right corner. Task manager shows Painter using 14gb and cpu 25% load.
I uninstalled 2018.2.1 and installed 2018.1.3 and it runs fine. Re-installed 2018.2.1 --- same problem.

Now it's working. I'm guessing I needed to wait a while when launching the new version so the shelf can be initialized. This morning I just started the app and let it sit.

Usually a high CPU value and a shelf not loading previews quickly means there is a resource being generated. Depending of the complexity of the resource it can take more or less time. However once generated it will be cached on the disk.

Don't forget your
log file
. It can be exported from the
Help
menu of the software.
