Author Topic: Plugin Enabled by default  (Read 975 times)

I've noticed that when I add and remove installed plugins in a user's documents folder, Painter registers the plugin, but by default the plugin is disabled, requiring the user to enable it.

Is there a way I can have a plugin be enabled by default to ensure it is running when the user opens the app?

Okay, I think see more of what's going on.

Newly introduced plugins, are auto enabled.

Plugins that have been introduced, but removed for one reason or another, and were previously disabled prior to removal; are disabled when they are re-added by the pipeline when the project requires it.

This is likely because the plugin info / state remains in the windows registry after it's removed  :(

Indeed, that's how our plugin system behave at the moment.
You can edit/change the state of the plugin in : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Allegorithmic\Substance Painter\plugins\
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
