Author Topic: 3ds max export to fbx with substance material crashes  (Read 2071 times)

I see an older thread, with no solution, from Oct of last year, so starting a new one.  When I try to export a mesh that has a substance material applied 3ds max crashes.  If I remove the substance mat it works fine.  I am working around this by removing the material and saving it to a mat library to use on the mesh later, but this is not how it should be, I'm guessing.

Hi @Sean Madigan 0,
This should no longer occur with the most recent version of the plugin. (2.1.1)
Thank you for the feedback.  :D

Export to fbx still crashes with Max 2018 and 3dsmax Substance Plugin (2.1.1)  :(

Also I believe something in this plugin is breaking my file.
File now takes approx 15 minutes to open.

I have tried everything like cleaner scripts and re importing to fresh files, and wiping my preferences.
Nothing fixes it.

Hi,

I can't see to reproduce this crash in 2018 or 2019. What version of FBX are you exporting to?

Cheers,
