Author Topic: Does painter bake normals at perfect 45 degree angle?(For use in trim textures)  (Read 972 times)

I am trying to replicate this:

Basically I want to create a trim texture that I can then map any number of UVs to it to gain normal edge detail. The problem is, the hard 90 degree seam is always visible.

After reading this: -- I have come to the conclusion that my normals are not getting baked at perfect 45 angles. Am I right in thinking this?
