Author Topic: Stamp Normal Detail with Material Combined  (Read 622 times)

Hey Folks, I am new here so I apologize if this is a simple question. I just cant seem to find a way to do this. I use 3D coat normally and you can paint a Normal, for a latch or screw for example but you can assign material too that stamp too. At the moment I am having to stamp a screw then go and paint over each one after. kind of a waste of my time and not as accurate.

Maybe I am missing something but I make a make a layer, go to the paint props and drag a material into the mat field and then down to the normal drag my screw normal in and paint. its works but the normal doesn't mask out the boundary if the stamp.  ???

Any pointers?

This is a known issue: the alpha of tha normal (or any other channel you want to use the alpha from) doesn't masks the other channels. Fixing this is on our to-do list.
