Author Topic: 2018 [Baking] Not enough data in the high poly to use selected baker.  (Read 2484 times)

I am trying to bake a high res normal onto my low poly but I am always getting a blank normal and the error:
[Baking] Not enough data in the high poly to use selected baker. Aborting bake.

This occurs on models I have successfully baked in 2017 version, the models are all perfectly lined up in world space and UV coordinates.

I have attached a very basic incomplete model to see if I could get any normal information with no success. I don't want to downgrade, I like the new features, but I am having no luck baking high res mesh.

Thanks for any help, there is literally two entries on google for that error.

Upon further testing, it is happening to any and all models. The same error occurs even when I try to bake without a high poly mesh. I don't understand at all.

EDIT:

Reverted to v2017.3.0 and it bakes fine now, I was gonna subscribe but not until this bug is fixed.
