Author Topic: Can't export outputs into Disc (C:)  (Read 2076 times)

Hello.

I have an problem. I can't from Substance Painter export textures into Disc (C:) but into Disc (D:) I can. Also exported textures from Substance Designer into Disc (C:) have suffix .tmp. Everytime I need to delete this suffix and then are textures OK. I attachment a log file from Substance Painter.

Please help me. I realy don't want to reinstall an operating system.

Your log mention the following :
Code: [Select]
[ ERR] <MapExporter> Could not save C:/Users/tomas/Desktop/scanbox_Material__2_AlbedoTransparency.png map: Couldn't open a device on file:///C:/Users/tomas/Desktop/scanbox_Material__2_AlbedoTransparency.pngBasically the application is unable to create the file on the disk to write its content afterward. This most likely means you have some security settings issues which block the application from writing properly on that disk.
As a quick workaround, can you try to run the application as administrator to see how it goes ?
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.

Thanks for reply...It's now OK. I just need to verify microsoft acc. Thank you very much.

So, I had this issue recently and after restarting the app again I found out it was my Avast Antivirus that was blocking the maps to exported. So I went in into Avast and made sure it recognized as a safe software, either that or turn it off.

Antivirus software have been mentioned in our list of software conflicts, make sure to check it out: https://docs.substance3d.com/spdoc/software-conflicts-147095610.html

Hi there. I found this thread while looking to solve this problem myself and having double checked my Antivirus, adding the exception into Avast, its still not exporting a file. I have another mesh with the same texture sets and everything but this is still happening only to this one iteration of it. I am just utterly baffled by this as its only one of the five materials on the piece that is not cooperating. Its in a new substance scene and everything. Completely trashed the old FBX and saved out a new one only for the same problem to arise.

I was able to export textures to my D drive, but Substance would not import into the shader. So I moved the files onto a folder on the C drive.. yay, whatz up with that ?.
Friend told me last night, I could save my files to some sort of cloud drive...please tell me how to set this up... I have Creative Suite also...
