Author Topic: Baking produces completly black maps  (Read 2397 times)

Hello Substance community!
I'm having an issue with my substance painter. Whenever I import meshes using per udim tile, my substance painter bakes all the maps correctly. However, in this case, I need to import using per material, however my bakes come all black. What could be happening? I exported using Maya's Lamberts.

Thank you in advance!

Please attach a a log file. Also make sure that your UVs arae all in the firts tile [0,1]. Substance Painter discard any UV that is outside that range when baking.

That fixed it, man! Thank you so much!

Sorry for the dumb question but, aren't udim's designed just for that?: for uv islands not to be on 0,1 tile only, but to have them on the other tiles as well?

Then, all the uv islands being on the basic 0,1 tile causes severe issues with me:
- Baking takes forever and hangs up at curvature processing.
- Overlapping uv islands are visible (not sure it does that all the time in the latest version though).

Thank you for clarifying. :)
