Author Topic: Visible faces after import  (Read 1161 times)

This is probably a silly question, but I have to ask. I attached a screenshot of my model after import in Substance Painter. Are the mesh faces supposed to be visible like that? I've watched tutorials where that's not the case, so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. I've also tried importing the same model with a higher poly count (subsurf modifier in Blender), and I still get that result, just with smaller squares. If I bake with a very high resolution mesh, it's still there. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to be like that?

If you don't apply smoothing groups prior to export you'll see flat faces.
I teach people how to use Substance Painter. :)

Thank you! I didn't know about this. You saved me a ton of time.
