Author Topic: Normals look normal in other programs but not in Painter  (Read 715 times)

I'm modeling a toy to practice baking maps and I finally got a good one out of xnormal after a ton of tries. The red object is the standard low poly with textures on. The maps look smooth and normal when imported into unity as well.

I get jagged edges in substance painter though. I've changed the normal format to opengl and that's fixed the normals on the head, but the ones on the body look skewed. Whats going on with this?

The first test in maya. All good. I get these same results in unity

In substance painter with opengl turned on. All good except for the weird edges on the body.
