Author Topic: How does the Pixel Processor 'Random' node work?  (Read 1862 times)

Can someone explain to me the basics of the Pixel Processor 'Function/Random' node? I can't find any documentation anywhere on this.

It returns a random number between the input and 0.
In the pixel processor this would return a different value for every pixel.
If you have multiple random nodes in a function they will return a different value each, but if you have 2 different functions with a random node with the same input, will return the same 'random' values.

Thanks for the answer (I did'nt get that you have to input a float to make it work).

Anyway, I found the answer I was looking for in this video
