Normal map 16bit to 8bit Dithering

Maybe I'm just lazy, but save 16bit image then go to photoshop, change color mode to 8 bit, just for the dithering effect is too redundant.

It will be super nice if it can be done within SD.

Never even thought of dithering normal maps. Good idea.

Designer applies dithering when exporting textures to an image format that does not support enough bits per channel (e.g. when exporting a 16bpc output to a file format which only supports up to 8bpc). So if you want to export dithered 8bpc normal maps, you can export them to TGA.

At this time, Painter doesn't dither the export when saving to a lower bit depth. I sent this request to the devs and it's something we already have on the to do list, but I don't have an ETA on when it will be added.
