Author Topic: [SOLVED] Bitmap2Material  (Read 2466 times)


The substance plugin works fine within ue4.3, but when I import the bitmap2material sbsar, I can't choose a texture to use. (the selection is empty and if I assign a texture from the selection in content browser nothing happens).

Am I missing something?

(I noticed the other thread from April "Question about Bitmap2Material Substances and Unreal 4" is this the same problem?)

Are you explicitly importing the texture as a substance image input? In windows make sure you change the dropdown to list "Substance Image Input" and then select the texture you wish to import.

BTW is it possible to change an already imported texture to "Substance Image Input"?

you would have to re-import it from the source asset, you would not be able to convert a Texture2D to SubstanceTexture2D
