Author Topic: UV projection not working?  (Read 2077 times)

I didnt change my seams or model at all, but i wanted to pack my uvs a little bit more. I watched the video on youtube and it seemed pretty straightforward. When i update the mesh all my layers dissappear and im left with a totally new blank project. The mesh hasn't changed at all, i know it records it all in the 3d space. It hasn't moved. Only the uv's..

Also - it will not let me add a logfile. Says i have to notify system admin of this error? And i'm getting this notification in my model. Rebaking my maps still gives me this issue and all grunge maps used in the project are saved to the project. I don't know what this means?

I'm getting exactly the same thing.   I've just changed UVs - the mesh is exactly the same.  It's losing all history and starting again with single a blank layer.

I need to try this again tonight.

I tried it for the first time ever a few days ago, and I think I got the behavior you describe.  I assumed I made a mistake, but now I'm not so sure.

Just tried it with an .obj saved from the same max file.  No go.

Hi Guys,

Drew sent me his project and I presume that in your DCC software you changed the name of your material ?
This action changed the name of your Texture set so, you must reassign the old texture to the new one in:
Settings > TextureSet List > Reassign Texturet Sets

That worked. I just had to rebake the normal and AO to finish it off
