Author Topic: Height Maps and Tessellation on macOS  (Read 929 times)

What is the most convenient way of previewing height map displacement on a Mac?

OS X doesn't support tessellation, so all we have is Parallax Occlusion (gives suboptimal results) or IRay (crashes way too often for me). What are other ways of previewing height maps on a Mac?

If there's nothing I can do on macOS, maybe installing Linux could solve this?
Does Linux version of Substance Designer support tessellation?

Hey, did you try Blender? (didn't test myself)

Yes. That's what I'm using right now. But in some cases results doesn't match the IRay's version.
