Author Topic: 1080 or 1080ti  (Read 2235 times)

Hi
I want to buy new card and I'm thinking about 1080 or 1080ti. Now I have 970 and I have big lag when I have multiple materials(2k) in one scene: 1080 will be good for performance(in substance painter) or maybe buy 1080ti ?

A 1080 should be good enough, you will likely see little difference with a ti.

how about radeon vega Frontier Edition ? Substance Painter and Designer will support it? Iray will support it?

Iray does not support AMD GPUs and will run on the CPU on AMD hardware. I would advise waiting a little bit to make sure the drivers are solid before getting this new card if you expect to work in Painter.
