Author Topic: Do we need to buy a separate license for Substance 2017?  (Read 1631 times)

I have an indie license which gives me access to Substance 2.6.x and I was wondering if I need to buy a separate subscription for Substance 2017.x

If you have an Indie license of Substance Painter 2, you have access to all the new builds up to September 30, 2017.
You have on your account a new license called "Substance Painter", with a maintenance date up to September 30, 2017.

So go and download the software and have fun :)

Today I cancelled my subscription due to the confusion of this
I was working up to owning the indie license and paying every month
Today I realized that Substance Designer/painter 2017 were not available to download (...and wouldn't be?)
I feel like the whole point of paying per month was to own the latest version
It's not clear enough how to get the newest 2017 version/subscription

Substance Painter 2017.1 is available for download if you have a subscription: you just need to download it on the website, and your login/password will work.

Contact us if you wish to reactivate your subscription.
