I hope he doesn't get wrinkles, but sharp creases do add a bit of polish.
It looks like he put on a bit of weight.

Just enough so the vest tugs on the buttons. Well done.

I see the bulge from his pocket watch. Nice.

QUESTION: How did you make his chain? I'd love to learn.

It's a bit untidy improvised method and works only for small chains but it's a quick one.

I've made 2 layers in Photoshop. One for the top ring and one for the bottom ring.

Then with some help of eraser and gradients I've done this (it's important to delete the middle part of one ring overwise chain will stack on itself in wierd way).

Now take your "height map" to Substance Designer and use Height to Normal node. Export the result.

Load the first picture as your alpha and the third one as your normal. It is important to keep height channel enabled for the brush 'cos it will compensate for the erased part in case if different sections don't combine well. Turn on Follow Path and adjust the Spacing and Angle to make a proper chain.

That's it.

I definitely need to experiment and practice "Follow path." It's been in the back of my mind for about 10 days now.

It wasn't my original intent, but would you mind if I borrowed the pictures you posted?

Sure, no problem. You can use whatever you like. They are not perfect by any means but still worked great for my purpose.

Then he posts an update with more detail. It just keeps getting better and better.

This is an amazing job. Very detailed, intricate and insanelly well made.

You've not asked for but I can't get in and out of this thread without saying it, as I feel this could help you. The only thing that I would criticize is that overal the colors are a bit monotonous. There should be something more striking to make the image globally more appealing. My immediate thought was a red vest but I'm sure you'll have a better idea.

Anyway you should ignore me, I'm just passing by, I own Painter but never used it and just get very curious to see the things you guys come up with.

I feel bad saying this, but I have to...
I don't care for the wrinkles at the top of his back, between the shoulders. It looks like it doesn't fit quite right and he should revisit his tailor. I love everything thing else. I have run out superlatives for lavishing praise on your great work, but felt compelled to share this thought with you too.
