Exactly. But some people just want to win. Not learn something new and have fun with it.

And be careful with lots of layers. I lost half of my work because can't switch to body texture set. And my pc not old or slow and still...

It's like doping in sports. It works fine but only till someone finds out the truth. Here you don't even have to search for it.

P.S. Huge thanks for the warning. I'm saving in 3 copies every 10-20 minutes to be on a safe side. Sorry to hear that you had a trouble. I hope that everything is OK now.

Exactly! It's like lying to yourself.
Yes now catching up. Thanks. Now when I save I switching all layers off :)
And of course now trying to reuse layers as possible. This limits create brainstorm and it's really cool lol

Cheaters gonna cheat.
Sad.

It is a bit surprising that we aren't required to upload out Painter file.  (It'd probably fill their server.   :P )

It would be reasonable, though, in my opinion for the top 20 contenders to be asked for a copy of their file.
One of the criteria is "Execution and Technique," and that could be difficult to judge without seeing their file.  Just a single screenshot doesn't tell the whole story, at least not to me.  With their file, the judges could see if the finalists used Painter effectively and creatively, or horribly inefficiently, and it would also allow them to weed out anyone who relied too much on outside textures.

Of course none of this affects me directly.  I knew on Day 1 that I wouldn't be a finalist.  But that doesn't dampen my spirit or enthusiasm.  Doing this has caused me to do things I've only poked at before.  Making a random brush strokes is so different from trying to accomplish a specific task.  So I'm having fun learning, and am immensely enjoying all the entries.

Hey, can we use color profiles for main render and generally all options from "Post Effects"? :)

Yes!

Jeremie,
one more question from my side,
i use the cintiq 27 qHD display and have aliasing forcing 1920x1080 in iray.
can i render in a iray fullscreenmode on my cintiq which would give you a resolution of

2182x1295. Otherwise iam gonna crop it in Photoshop ^^

In Iray mode, you can "Override Viewport Resolution" (or something like that), and you can type in any resolution you desire.

Can i bake texture with high poly model?

At what time ends the contest? Is it today @ 0:00 (for me, tomorrow is the 11th may) or tomorrow at 0:00 (like when may 11th ends)? What timezone is taking into account for the deadline?

I´ve started with 3 meet-mats but I think my 4th one will be "the one to submit" - but now, time may gets into the way, I guess

best regards

thanks!

Hi Guys, I read posts but still confused about two things, Please confirm ASAP

- Can i use height to add some details to the model? (Not clothes)
- Can i add and use Opacity and Emissive Channels?

Regards
