Author Topic: My first real material  (Read 1535 times)

Hey guys, I've owned Substance Designer/Painter for a few years, just never really went out of my way to try and make anything unique.

Well I made something by playing around for a couple of hours, what do you think? Some sort of futuristic sci-fi checker panel with an air-vent in the center.... I know it's not perfect, but I feel really good about it.

Images are attachments.

Congratulations on your first original material.
Looks cool.

Thank you.... I know it's not the best looking mat out there, nor do I see any use for it in a video game. I just started playing around with nodes and coming up with ideas.

Which in the end came out alright. I can't even fathom how people get realistic materials with this thing yet.

But thanks again man  :)

Well done on doing something original and pushing yourself! Keep up the good work.

I think with a bit of colour & roughness variation you are onto a winner, keep producing more, look forward to seeing them.
