Author Topic: Substance Painter PBR modes? Max texture sizes?  (Read 3937 times)

I saw on a video that Substance Painter only supports the PBR metalness model, and not the Spec and Roughness model. Is this correct? Or did I misunderstand?

Also, is a 2048 texture the biggest Substance Designer and painter can author?

And like someone asked before, can Substance handle non square/2:1 ratio textures?

Thank you.

A new release of Painter this week will also support non-pbr outputs.

SP is limited to 2048 for now but we plan to improve the max resolution in the coming months.
SD can output 4k textures.

And finally, both support non square textures.

Thanks Jeremie.

Does Painter support the Spec/Gloss PBR model?

Thanks Jeremie.

Does Painter support the Spec/Gloss PBR model?

Not at this time, but it will support multiple shaders. Jeremie can confirm Spec/Gloss PBR model, but from my understanding it will be there for version 1.0 release.
