Author Topic: Alpha Channel  (Read 1961 times)

The rendering engine i'm using uses the alpha channel of the diffuse map for specular intensity.  The Substance i'm using splits out the Alpha, effectively leaving it white. And even if I bypass that, it's white anyway. And if I force the alpha channel to black, I cannot see the image. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Do you have a capture of your graph? And are you using the RGB-A merge node?

You can switch off the transparency by clicking on the little checker icon at the bottom of the 2D view, so even if your alpha is black, you will still see your texture properly.

I'm glad I got that out of the way. I was a bit surprised when I saw my textures rendering as white. Same thing happens in painter, where I have to delete the alpha channel.
