Remove Symmetry line

Just hoping if there is currently a way to remove the red dividing line when in symmetry mode.  I find it really gets in the road of things.

Is there a setting somewhere in SP that I may have overlooked?

Well - they added the hide symmetry plane option a while back (see screenshot attached) but it doesn't seem to be working for me.    See if it works for you. If not we may need to report it as a bug.

Hide Symmetry doesn't work for me either.

Can one of the Allegorithmic staff please take a look at this issue?

The hide symmetry plane feature only hides the red overlay on the symmetry plane but doesn't remove the outline of the plane itself at the moment.
