Hello guys!

I'm using a custom build of the engine and the given substance plugin from the post above this isn't compiling.

I've seen that there's no 4.15 branch in "https://github.com/Allegorithmic/UnrealEngine" repository.


When will the 4.15 branch be released?My team can't use the new custom built Unreal Version without it :(

We have been phasing out GitHub as many people had issues with it. In regards to the link above not compiling, can you send me the compile log?

Also make sure to generateprojectfiles.bat before rebuilding after adding the plugin to your project. =)

Hi Dan!

By putting the plugin in the Engine/Plugins/Substance folder everything compiles correctly.

Those are the steps i've done :
1 - Download the latest Substance 4.15.0.21 plugin version
2 - Put it into Engine/Plugins/Substance
3 - GenerateProjectFiles.bat
4 - Compile editor via UE4.sln
5 - start my project
6 - enable Substance from the settings
7 - Start the project again ~ crash.

i get this in the log :

By the way,  i think ""EnabledByDefault" : true," is missing from the uplugin file compared to the previouses versions of the plugin.

You have to flush Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Substance\Binaries folder before the build. Otherwise, the plugin will crash the Editor.

Not working, the editor's still crashing.

I Have deleted Binaries and Intermediate from the plugin directory,generated project files (for the engine) and built succesfully.

Then i've also deleted binaries and intermediate from my game project,generaeted project files and rebuilt it.Still getting the same error.

Moving the Substance folder from Plugins to Plugins/Runtime fixed the issue!
