In max 2017, I load a substance material.
Then I try to "load substance" but I get an error message:
Error in reading Substance file :f\...\..\..sbar
Does this thing work in MAX 2017?

Hi,

The plugin that ships with max is very old. We are working on a new version 2 of the max plugin to support all of the new features of Substance. We currently have a beta updater plugin with doesn't add new features, but does add support for the SD6 engine. The error you are getting has to do with the substance using a new engine. This updater will allow you to load the substances.

We will be rolling out a new plugin for max will full support for all of the features of Substance : ) We apologize for the issues thus far.
