Author Topic: Mikkt space normals not shown correctly in SP  (Read 1502 times)

I've baked my maps using Knald, for some reason SP doesn't preview the normals correctly, I thought it's using Mikkt?

Toolbag, after setting the mesh to Mikkt:

The normals on the mesh are all set to soft except for the UV boundaries, they are set to hard.

If you want to properly use the Mikk tangent space in Substance Painter, you need to import a mesh without Tangent and Binormals.
So either use an obj file as your low-poly, or an FBX without TB.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
