Author Topic: What's wrong the viewport showing opacity?  (Read 1307 times)

First image is in paint mode
Second is in rendering mode

Same settings. Only difference is that I can see my edits in render mode. This makes it a huge problem when I need to adjust the opacity, but am forced to wait 2 minutes before I can make out when it really looks like.

Now, if I were to go inside of the box and look out in the paint mode, then I can see the opacity working correctly. I can use the opacity slider and it just works. But only from the inside.

The opacity in the OpenGL viewport can sometimes be broken/hard to see.
This is a know issue that is complicated to solve. For the moment we don't have a workaround other than switching to Iray. Or using a more approximate shader such as : https://share.allegorithmic.com/libraries/1740
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
