Author Topic: [SOLVED] Unity cannot open exported files (Height, AO - Designer)  (Read 3424 times)

Could not create texture from Assets/Textures/Cobblestone/Cobblestone_ambientOcclusion.png: File could not be read

This is my error message, same goes for ambient occlusion export.

My current workflow is to export files from designer, then open height and AO in gimp and run an overwrite.
This enables unity to read the files.

How can I fix this?

Adding a channel mixer right before the output fixed it.

Oh, that's right... Unity doesn't like greyscale PNG's. Got to convert them to RGBA first.
