Author Topic: Broken orthographic camera zoom in Iray rendering mode  (Read 2210 times)

Hello,

I'm facing some strange issue with camera in Substance Designer 5.5. In short, when in Iray rendering mode and camera is set to Orthographic projection, the view jumps close to the scene object and camera can't be zoomed out or zoomed in. I've filed a bug report through the support website, but decided to post here as well.

I suppose this isn't normal, right?..

Could anyone kindly confirm this? Maybe I'm getting it just on mine system...

The issue with orthographic camera mode in Iray was fixed in 5.5.2. Still works fine for me in 5.6.0. Could be another bug.  :-[

I am suffering from a bug (or some major oversight on my part).

Orthographic or not, I cannot move the camera at all when I'm in Iray mode.  It's like the camera is in the center of the mesh.

It's working okay for you?  Can you pan/zoom/rotate and see the model when you're in Iray rendering mode?

OK for me. Only issue I have for now is that custom Lights appear as gigantic spheres on some meshes. I suspect a scale issue. Will file a separate bug report for this.

Iray is working correctly for me now.
There was something wrong in my Windows Registry.  Clearing out the junk fixed it up it's very fun to render Iray on my GTX 1080.
