Is there an optimal resolution for brushes/greebles we make to use?
I'm new to texturing :)

Hi,

I don't think there is any set rules as of yet. I have been using my ZBrush alphas (PSD) directly in Substance Painter and they are 2048x2048. I can say this worked well.

I made a couple in inkscape at 512x212 and stamped them on a box to see if I could get the nice clean effect your vehicle had but mine were all distorted, so I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong.

I will keep experimenting :)

Let me know if you are having issues. Here is an alpha I used in the vehichle. I go this from Bad King. Lots of good alphas there. This alpha is 2K.

That site's a great resource! Thanks :)
I've been sidetracked by the huge Designer thread on Polycount that I've just discovered. Will test these tomorrow :)
