Author Topic: Symmetry plane not at the center  (Read 916 times)

I import my object as an fbx and I checked my scene in maya the object is located dead center 0 0 0.  But the symmetry plane in painter isn't lay on the world x axis.  Is there a way to shift the plane menually or change it from object to world space?

The symmetry plane is based in the middle of the bounding box of your mesh, not on the origin of the world. Therefore if you mesh is a bit asymmetrical the plane will be off. We don't have settings to move this plane at the moment.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.

You should have an option between object and world symmetry.
