Author Topic: Stencil resolution.  (Read 3863 times)

I created a new rust substance as a test and designed it to be atleast 1024, preferably 2048.

However when I import it into painter and use the substance as a stencil it will always render the stencil at a lower resolution. I tried setting the size to absolute in designer but that had no effect.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I overseeing a setting somewhere? Or is this not possible (yet)?

Even though the stencil overlay may be in low resolution, what you are actually painting should be at the actual resolution of the stencil. Is that the case?

Tested it on a box test model and it worked as expected. After doing some tests on the cymurai I found out that I had the stencil zoomed in to much so everything became muddy. Works now.

I have the same problem. Stencil preview resolution is very low.

Agreed. I have pretty handy 4k mask textures (just gathered different scratches and damages in one place) - but I can not use it in SP. I have to use 3DCoat for this purposes and import final masks in SP.
