Author Topic: Seams appear on diffuse map  (Read 5236 times)


I have bought Substance Painter a few days ago, and I have been experimenting with its feature since then. I am using Blender as my main 3D package, but when I export all my maps from substance painter back into blender seams appear on the model that were not present in Substance painter.

Do you know a way to fix that ?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem with 3DS Max, 3DX Change 5 iClone
I'm glad to read that this will be resolved.
Excuse my bad English but I am French, too bad for a French company which is nothing is in our language and no tutorial or documentation that can help.


As Jeremie mentioned the seams are fixed in an upcoming build of Substance Painter. I have attached a substance I use for padding textures. It works off of the shells of the UV as indicated by the alpha. If you supply a diffuse texture with alpha, it will pad it. However, if you enable "Use Mask" you can supply a mask that indicates what needs to be padded.
