I'm pretty sure this can be done...just looking for that linky please!
I have an identical model with new UV material/names that I want to import through Project Configuration, since the material names will be different I will need to update the linking so the appropriate maps apply.
This can be done, right?

Yes, import your new mesh, anmd click on Settings on top of the Texture Set list window.
You'll have an option to reassign texture sets through drag and drop.
